Peruvian composers
Musical pieces for violin and piano

Volumes 1 and 2 of Peruvian Composers comprise part of the remarkable musical diversity of our country expressed in a repertoire of musical pieces for violin and piano and instrumental adaptations to this format, compiled by the violinist Carlos Johnson, who in addition to interpreting the works together with pianist Katia Palacios was artistic director of the project. The recording sessions of a total of 19 musical works were developed between July 2017 and March 2018, an achievement after which the Center for Research, Musical Creation and Publications of the National University of Music undertook post-production efforts in two volumes which included works by important 19th and 20th century composers such as Manuel Aguirre, Federico Gerdes, Carlos Valderrama, Renzo Bracesco, Ernesto López Mindreau, Alberto Díaz Robles, Andrés Sas, Teodoro Valcárcel, Alfonso de Silva, Armando Guevara and Roberto Carpio, all They come from different locations in the country. The process culminated in December 2018 with the presentation to the public of both albums, in addition to a recital offered by teachers Johnson and Palacios.
