Witness to the Age of Revolution

The book reconstructs, graphically, the biography of Juan Bautista Túpac Amaru. His “odyssey”, as he calls it, dragged him in chains from Cusco to Lima and Rio de Janeiro, to then cross the ocean in the direction of Cádiz and Ceuta, the African prison where he remained locked up for almost thirty years. There he was able to follow the turmoil that shook Europe after the French Revolution. Released only in 1821, he went to Buenos Aires, where he was received as a hero and where he wrote his memoirs.
Charles Walker, Claudia Rosas, Alberto Vergara and Juan Acevedo participated.
