The narrator Olinda Silvano presented the storytelling in Shipibo and Spanish as part of the commemoration of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples.
Olinda Silvano, known as Reshijabe (whose name means “the first sigh” in the Shipibo-Konibo language), was born in Paoyhan, on the edge of the Ucayali River, in the department of Loreto. She is a recognized teacher in the art of tracing kené in different media and directs workshops in various schools and universities in Peru and abroad.
