Times of connection
Lorena Noblecilla Fulller

“Tiempos de Conexión” (Times of connection) by Lorena Noblecilla Fulller is an installation that includes photography, painting, sculpture and the projection of three videos made in the jungle of Quincemil, in Cusco. The show has been selected to integrate the international programming of Bienalsur and as part of the MAC Foto Barranco Festival.
For curator Jorge Villacorta, “the visual arc that Lorena Noblecilla outlines in this exhibition is decidedly broader and more encompassing. Her interest is powerfully placed in energy, especially in light. The proposal is visually marked by green as a colour, which is highlighted both by the side of the fluorescent paint that the artist uses regularly in a small number of pictorial works, and in a vision of the Amazonian forest in her photography, a clear testimony to a kingdom of chlorophyll, which fixes light and turns it into food, and is thus at the origin of the configuration of the food chain”.
