“Guillermo Lohmann Villena” Library
The Library of the Centro Cultural Inca Garcilaso of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru opened its doors to the public in April 2013. Its bibliographic collection houses books by different authors who published on art, literature, anthropology, history and other disciplines.
The library is a free access space for people who need to consult or research its bibliographic collection.
Bibliographic collection
The library has a collection of approximately 9,000 publications, including books and reference works specialising in Peruvian culture. Among them are the collections of Peruvian literature and history of the bookseller Juan Mejía Baca. It also has editions of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and publications edited by the cultural centre itself.
Services
The main objective of the Library of the Centro Cultural Inca Garcilaso is to provider free access to its bibliographic collection to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, researchers, students and general public.
It has open bookshelf, twenty reading points and three computers with online access to the book catalogue.
The library also offers its collection to other libraries of museums, cultural institutions, universities and research centres on interlibrary loan, as well as the exchange service for publications related to our bibliographic collection.
